Amendments to the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement Convention between India and Slovenia
A protocol has been signed between India and Slovenia amending and broadening the scope of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement Convention between the two countries. This protocol was signed on 17th May 2016 in Ljubljana by Mr. Sarvajit Chakravarti, Ambassador of India to Slovenia and Mr. Dusan Mramor, Slovenian Minister of Finance.
This protocol amends and prevents fiscal evasion in terms of taxes and also broadens the existing framework in terms of sharing information thus curbing tax evasion and tax avoidance. It will further enable mutual assistant in sharing information regarding taxes collected. This change will affect the taxes filled by eligible citizens from both countries.
