Metalogix ControlPoint Named Redmond Channel Partner Editor’s Choice Award Winner for Best SharePoint Tool
Metalogix ControlPoint 7.0 Recognized as a “Game-Changing” Technology for the Microsoft Channel
Washington, DC, May 03, 2016 – Metalogix, the premier provider of unified software to migrate, manage and secure content across enterprise collaboration platforms, today announced that its ControlPoint 7.0 solution has been recognized by Redmond Channel Partner (RCP) magazine as the winner of the RCP Editor’s Choice Award for Best SharePoint Tool.
The RCP Editor’s Choice Awards recognize top products for Microsoft Partners and is the first-of-its-kind award listing. For the 2016 list, RCP editors picked “the hottest, most interesting, most game-changing technologies and programs” for the Microsoft partner ecosystem.
In its April 4 article highlighting the award winners, RCP said the following about ControlPoint 7.0, “The IT world has been undergoing a massive, justified and rolling freak-out about security over the last two years. Which is why one of the most interesting product releases of 2015 in the Microsoft SharePoint tools space is security-focused. Metalogix in November delivered ControlPoint 7.0 with a new machine learning-based feature set called Metalogix Sentinel, which provides real-time monitoring and alerting of suspicious SharePoint user activity. The idea is to prevent breaches, leaks or thefts of personally identifiable information and other sensitive content within SharePoint stores. It’s a timely solution for a serious problem.”
ControlPoint 7.0 uses real-time machine learning to analyze and detect suspicious patterns of activity in SharePoint and prevents unauthorized access to content. This advanced technology monitors SharePoint continually and alerts on suspicious behavior, tracking behavior anomalies and unauthorized access based on geo-location to protect against both internal and external threats. By providing insight into the content users are accessing, including when, where and how often, ControlPoint can help organizations avoid unauthorized access and usage.
“Metalogix is dedicated to the success of both its partners and its customers with the innovative solutions that enhance security while improving efficiency and performance,” said Abe Peled, CEO, Metalogix. “We’re honored to receive RCP’s coveted Editor’s Choice Award. With the recent rise in enterprise and government data breaches, we’ve continued to invest in ControlPoint’s features to rise to the evolving needs of customers looking to increase their permissions, auditing, reporting and governance policy control. ControlPoint is the SharePoint administrator’s secret weapon for security and compliance.”
