Derek Kaczmarek, Attorney at Law, Receives a Superb 10.0 Rating on Avvo
A well-respected tax attorney, Derek Kaczmarek, recently announced that his firm has earned an outstanding 10.0 Avvo rating. Achieving such a remarkable rating is one of the most difficult challenges. Only a small percentage of attorneys throughout the United States have been able to achieve such high standards.
In 2016, he earned the remarkable Avvo rating of 10.0, the highest rating possible by any attorney. According to Avvo, the rating is calculated on an unbiased, mathematical model which takes into account information available through public resources about an attorney, such as bar associations information, information available on attorney websites, court records, and regulatory agencies. Additionally, peer endorsements also affect Avvo ratings. “I am extremely honored to have received such a high rating through Avvo. My clients are vital to me, and I always do what I can to provide them with the best legal representation when they are faced with disputes with the IRS or state or local tax authorities,” said Derek Kaczmarek, Founder of Derek W. Kaczmarek Law Firm.
Since 2005, Derek has conducted outstanding performances in the courtroom while representing his clients. His primary practice area is in tax litigation, which includes representing taxpayers in federal, state, and local tax litigation – both civil and criminal – tax fraud and shelters, offshore voluntary compliance, innocent spouse relief, tax collection and audit representation, among others. In 2012, Derek opened his private practice, Derek W. Kaczmarek Law, to assist taxpayers in controversies and disputes with the federal, state, and local tax authorities. His experience has earned him numerous awards, including earning the AV Preeminent Rating Award by Martindale-Hubbell; the “Valley’s Top Lawyers” Award, bestowed by Desert Companion in Las Vegas in 2014; and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, SB/SE Bronze Medal Litigation Award in 2011. Most recently, Derek served as a panelist on the American Bar Association Section of Taxation’s 2016 mid-year “Nuts & Bolts of Tax Court Litigation: Pre-Trial, Trial, and Post-Trial” meeting in January 2016.
Derek earned his M.B.A degree in finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and received his Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University School of Law in 2003. In 2005, he also received his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. Since then, he has successfully helped hundreds of clients represent their cases in the court of law.
